The LinkTip Freightermate high lift tipping equipment was designed to enable the operator to load the body at a normal height but benefit by being able to discharge the load dircetly into a higher level RCV hopper, refuse compactor or suitable open skip body.
The Freightermate equipment features a unique LinkTip designed scissor action operation combined with a standard LinkTip tipping linkage to suit various body applications and discharge heights.
Mounted to standard chassis from 3.5t GVW the Freightermate is capable of effective efficient collection of refuse from outlying areas and difficult access areas that conventional refuse collection vehicles cannot reach.
With various body designs available the Freightermate can be designed to meet individual operational requirements. Standard fixed mesh cage sides can be incorporated to provide a high volume collection body suitable for
refuse sack collection. A fully enclosed body design may be required for the collection of loose refuse or street cleansing debris.
In operation the Freightermate can be loaded manually or can include a LinkTip manufactured bin lift such as the Slimlift for refuse container collections up to 360L. Once loaded the rear doors are opened and the body can be emptied via the in cab control console to raise the body height to a suitable level with the receiving body such as an RCV hopper.
The body is then tipped in a normal manner to tip the load into the receiving hopper or body in a controlled operation.
When the body is emptied the body is lowered to the normal travelling height for further collections.
The Freightermate is an ideal cost effective satellite vehicle for many simple low cost operations. With a variety of lift height and body combinations the Freightermate remains a popular option for many rural and difficult access refuse operations.
