LINKTIP MARKS 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE

GET MORE PAYLOAD FROM YOUR STILLAGES WITH THE LINKTIP GROUPThis month signals a landmark for LinkTip – its 30 years since the first under-floor tipping equipment, a scissor-action linkage design for 3.5t to 7.5t GVW chassis, was designed and manufactured and from this the LinkTip name was formed.

With customers soon asking for bespoke bodies to compliment the tipping equipment, we went on to design and build the complete body, mounted to a suitable chassis, each being custom-made to the individual client requirement.

We were the first company to design and build ground level demountable equipment to suit a 3.5t GVW chassis and have continued this pioneering spirit with many other firsts over the years.

Continuing the success
Following the success of earlier products LinkTip developed the MICROPACK and LINKPACKA side loading semi-compaction refuse collection bodies suitable for vehicles from 3.5 ton to 12 ton gross vehicle weight. Further product expansion came with the BANTAM a non-HGV rear loading RCV specifically designed for difficult access areas, fitted to a 7.5 ton gvw chassis.

Introducing roof loading and side loading
As ecological and technological advances in refuse collection developed in the late 1980s and 1990s, LinkTip responded by designing side loading binlift equipment to operate the 120 through to 1280 ltr wheeled bins. The low threshold SLIMLIFT can handle 120- 360ltr wheeled bins while the RS lift can handle the same size whilst emptying through the roof of a body. The RL lift can handle all the standard size of wheeled bins through to 1280 ltr. LinkTip has the highest range of discharge heights available in the market place.

Still pushing the boundaries today
Having acquired Kerbside Recycling in 2007, the group are now at the forefront of recycling vehicle development with product research surging into new areas including the use of plastics for enhanced payloads and performance.  Last year we introduced the first recycling body made from plastic which delivers on all fronts not least its superior payload.
