CUSTOMERS COME FIRST

Understanding your customers’ and working in partnership with them are values Dave Overton of TransLinc considers key to the success of the company.  Which is why he demands the same working relationship with his suppliers to ensure the end user gets the very best vehicle.  Read on to discover why Kerbside Recycling products and working with the LinkTip fulfil his criteria…

TransLinc is one of the UK's leading providers of fleet management and passenger services to local authorities, schools, health authorities and public sector clients. Their portfolio of vehicles is extensive ranging from cars and light commercial vehicles to heavy goods vehicles including RCV’s, sweepers, gritters and passenger carrying vehicles. They have over thirty years experience and now manage more than 3,000 vehicles for 45 customers nationwide.

The LinkTip Group and TransLinc have worked together for some time on a variety of contracts and the latest delivery, a 7.5 tonne cage tipper has just been deployed at North Kesteven District Council.

With a side mounted tail lift for ease of loading, the vehicle is a prime example of the LinkTip Groups’ expertise.  A bespoke vehicle built to exact standards, it is safe and easy for the operatives to use while complying with all legislation such as manual handling.

Dave Overton said: “TransLinc has worked with the council for a number of years and has now gained sole supplier status.  With that said we then search out the best body builders and suppliers for the customer so the council gets exactly what they need.

Many local authorities are now looking to companies such as TransLinc to lease vehicles as Dave Overton explains, “The benefits are two-fold; they avoid any costly upfront capital expenditure and this money can then be used on front line services.

“However, that doesn’t mean a compromise on quality of functionality.  At the end of the day it comes down to one thing – customer service.  Even though a client maybe leasing rather than buying, they are still having a bespoke vehicle built and this is where the LinkTip Group really shone.

“We were very impressed by their knowledge of the business and the vehicles they could produce. These factors combined with the price and lead-time for the vehicle was what won LinkTip the contract.”

Cage Tippers are now being marketed under the Kerbside Recycling brand, part of the LinkTip Group.  For further details on recycling and tipper bodies please visit www.linktip.co.uk and click on the products section.
