LINKTIP GROUP EXPANDS SALES TEAM

This month sees the LinkTip Group mark another milestone in its history; the appointment of its first Scottish based Area Sales Manager, Scott Wilson.

Scott joins the company with a wealth of sales experience, having worked in both the electronics and engineering industries for the last 10 years.

Originally from the North East, he moved to Edinburgh a decade ago to pursue a career in the then booming electronics industry.  Working directly for manufacturers and their representatives, he sold products for some of the world’s biggest manufacturers including IMB and Motorola.

Two years ago he was snapped up by a company in the tipper industry and was responsible for selling tipper trailers to both the private and public sector.

Scott said: “Two aspects of the job at LinkTip really attracted me to the post.  Firstly, the problem solving ethos of the company means they really do work with customers to design a vehicle body which suits their needs.  The second is the growing potential for specialist bodywork particularly for the collection of recyclable materials in Scotland.

Sales Director John Prescott said of the appointment, “We have a growing number of customers in Scotland and such our reputation for innovation and build quality our sales enquiries have been increasing for some time.  The next natural step was to appoint a dedicated sales manager for the area and we felt now was the right time.  Scott has a natural sales ability and knows the market well.  This is an exciting time for LinkTip & our sister company Kerbside Recycling and we look forward to working with Scott.”

Scott lives in Edinburgh & is ideally placed to look after sales in both Scotland and the North East of England.
